Hustle Happen Thief Ace
|||||I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You - Evita||]|
Hello, geishas and friends!
It seems we've completed our geisha circle of love and happiness. In honor of the semi-unveiling of this splendid community, I've compiled a post dedicated to one of the things we hold nearest and dearest to our hearts, something we turn to in times of trouble, something that symbolizes all that is good in the world:
Hungry Hungry Hippos.
First of all, I made some icons for our use.
I also found a fascinating, true article on the subject.
Australian preschool ban
In January 2006, a Melbourne preschool banned the popular children’s game as part of a campaign to tackle the growing problem of childhood obesity. According to Melbourne’s The Age newspaper, the administrative staff of Jane Cox Pre-School felt the game promoted poor self-image, greed and aggressive play. Whilst health groups across the state largely applauded the school’s action, The Age later reported that the school had decided to reverse its decision in light of numerous complaints from parents.
And a fascinating, less true one.
Mid-East Crisis Possibly to be Resolved Through Game of Hungry Hungry Hippos
TEL AVIV -- Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has reportedly been issued a statement from Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, challenging Sharon to settle their long held dispute once and for all, with a rousing, winner-take-all match of Milton Bradley's Hungry Hungry Hippos.
And last--but certainly not least--is this cartoon.
Keep a postin', kids. :D
